USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) offers two programs that provide technical and financial assistance for farms that want to adopt conservation practices, like cover crops, on their operation for the first time or for those already incorporating conservation practices.

Mixon Seed is proud to be a partner alongside Clemson, SC State, and other entities in the Climate Smart Grown in SC project funded by USDA-NRCS Partnerships for Climate-Smart Commodities.
The main goal of this project is to promote the adoption and utilization of climate-smart practices such as cover cropping, prescribed grazing, reduced tillage, and other conservation tactics among farmers, thereby increasing both the acreage and number of farmers implementing these practices.
